A brilliant student at Harvard University, he discovered his powers to turn into a werewolf-like creature when he was bullied by his peers. Since gaining control of his powers (no longer brought on by emotional stress), he was brought into the X-Force fold.

Initially not wanting anything to do it, now he'd do anything to steal a little bit of the limelight, along with his best friend and teammate Phat.
